So Nanda is an appealing foal with a powerful canter. She descends from a mare line with a lot of high level international showjumpers. She is a descendant of the stallion Douglas who clearly proves to be a good combination with the mare line. For example, the Douglas offspring Cinanda, Cirnanda and Daimler jump in at 1.30m. level and grandmother produced the Elite, , IBOP-jump, Sport-jump. and PROK approved international 1.50m. classified Donanda - John Perez (COL).

Mother is the mare Kirnanda. She is a descendant of Canabis Z (s. Contender). The offspring of Canabis Z stand out because of their excellent reflexes, technique and conformation. So Nanda (s. Douglas) is her first offspring.

Grandmother is the Elite, Preferent, Performance, PROK approved mare Nanda (s. Holland). She produced the Performance and 1.20m. classified mare Sirnanda (s. Calvados) who in her turn is the mother of the 1.35m classified horse Wirnanda (s. Indoctro) and the international 1.60m. horse Christian K (s. Namelus R) - Daniel Svensson (SWE), the 1.35m. classified Tibor (s. Burggraaf), the Performance, PROK approved mare Winanda (s. Guidam). She on her turn produced the Douglas offspring Cinanda and Daimler who both competed at 1.30m level in show jumping, the Ster mare Ananda-Kristy (s. Vancouver), the Elite, IBOP-jump, PROK approved and 1.30m. classified mare Cirnanda (s. Douglas), de Elite, IBOP-jump. Sports jump, PROK approved and international 1.50m. classified mare Donanda (s. Douglas) - John Perez (COL) and the Elite, IBOP-jump, Sport-jump, PROK approved and international 1.60m mare Enanda (s. Nabab de Reve) - Lucie Deslauriers (USA).

The Darco son Douglas successfully jumped in international 1.50m courses with Conor Swail. After a serious injury, Douglas had to end his sports career early, but with his enormous jumping technique and scope he made an indelible impression.


As a 3-year-old Douglas performed in the performance test in Adelheidsdorf and became first with 139.49 points. As a 4-year-old Douglas was champion of Ireland and as a 6-year-old he was reserve champion of Ireland.


Douglas's offspring perform at the highest level. One of the most famous Douglas offspring is Suma's Zorro ridden by Sameh El Dahan, who competed in both the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen and Tryon in 2018. Suma's Zorro spectacularly won the Rolex Grand Prix of Spruce Meadows, Calgary – one of the highest awarded Grand Prix in the world. He also took the top prize in the Global Champions Tour of Paris.

Another very well-known Douglas descendant is the Irish-bred Dougie Douglas, who, after a successful career under British Holly Smith, was sold to American Katherine Dinan via the Goresbridge auction for 1.4 million euros. Under the American, Dougie Douglas won the 1.50m in Harrisburg, came second in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Valence, second in the New York North Salem GP, second in the Washington World Cup and third in the Ocala World Cup.

Douglas' son Dassler convinced under his new rider Mathieu Billot with his unlimited scope and won the Puissance of London Olympia and Rouen, after he also won the Puissance of Liverpool and the Six Bar of St Lô in the past under Louise Saywell. Dallas VDL jumps from one top performance to another under Jur Vrieling and the mare Eurvette O has also developed under Andreas Schou into a competitive Grand Prix showjumper with a second place in the Grand Prix of Oliva and a third place in the Grand Prix. Grand Prix of Ciekokinko. Under Marlon Zanotelli, Douglas' son Icarus won the Grand Prix of both Opglabbeek and Lier and was second in the Grand Prix of Moorsele. There was also a bronze medal in the Sires of the World at the World Championships in Lanaken.
