Classy-Bessy is an all-round bred filly. Her father is the 1.60m. classified stallion Colorit Z. Her dam is a descendant of Bon Bravour who under Anky van Grunsven shows that he has everything he needs for Grand Prix dressage. Classy-Bessy moves with space and flexibility. She has three excellent basic gaits. She is an interestingly bred foal for the eventing rider, with her percentage of thoroughbred blood exceeding 47%.
Dam Idola is a large-framed mare by the stallion Bon Bravour (s. Painted Black). With Anky van Grunsven, the stallion shows that he masters all Grand Prix exercises. Idola has 3 excellent gaits, especially her trot stands out.
Grandmother Pernille is a descendant of the KWPN Keur stallion Ulft (s. Le Mexico). She produced the international 1.30m jumping horse Grappa (s. Contact vd Heffinck) and the Z1 dressage classified Elite, IBOP-drs, D-OC mare Jewel (s. Samba Hit II). Jewel scored a total of 77 points in her IBOP maretest and scored 3x 8 for her canter, suppleness and rideability and workability.
In addition to Pernille, great-granddam Jose (s. Sultan) produced the mare Sasha who in her turn is the mother of two M dressage classified horses and the Heavy Tour gelding Bono (s. Rubiquil).
Colorit Z is a striking appearance. Anyone who’s met him is sure never to forget him. As a sport horse this good-looking grey just had that little bit extra, that uniqueness any breeder is looking for. Colorit Z always gave the full 100%. There are going to be few horses that are so much in sync with the rider in the ring as Colorit Z, and besides that also have the qualities to jump with ease any GP they're faced with. He inherited those qualities from his father Coriano Z who himself was of great significance for Judy Ann Melchior’s career. The Colorit Z offspring are praised for being straightforward, their reliable personalities and outstanding rideability. They are each and everyone pleasant horses with fine canters and satisfactory capacity. Examples are Emily Mofitt’s Carlson 86, David Will’s Concordia 49 and Eveliina Talvio’s Chelsea.
