The Sky is the limit!
Sky VDA is an appealing foal with a nice front and 3 correct gaits. She comes from a mare line of many auction and sport horses.
In the mare line we find the Oldenburg approved Grand Prix stallion Kansas C (s. Krack C) - Annemiek Vincourt (NED).
Mother is the Ster, D-OC mare Eleksia (s. Jazz). She produced the Ster, PROK mare Isa and the Ster, provisionally Keur mare Nina VDA (s. Vitalis). At the studbook inspection, Nina VDA scored 75/80 and scored an 8.5 for her trot and was auctioned at the beginning of this year via the Performance Plus Online Auction. Eleksia herself noted a beautiful list of marks at the studbook inspection with 3 times an 8 for movement, walk and canter and an 8.5 for her trot.
Grandmother is the Keur mare Odessa (s. Jetset-D). She produced the international 4* driving horse Don-Catcher - Frederik Persson (SWE), the Z1 classified horse Tisjone (s. Riccione), the Elite, IBOP-dr, PROK approved mare Kodessa (s. Governor) and the ZZ-light horse Fastzeno (s. Valdez).
Great-grandmother is the Keur, Sport-dr. mare Judith (s. Elcaro). She was successful in the sport at Z2 level. She produced three Z-dressage horses and the Elite, Preferent, Performance, PROK mare Saigon (s. Jazz). She is the dam of the Oldenburger approved Grand Prix stallion Kansas C (s. Krack C).
McLaren is a dynamic, beautiful and strong mover that descends of the Oldenburg champion stallion and Burgpokal finalist Morricone out of a dam of Sir Donnerhal I - Akzent II.
McLaren impresses with his elastic, light-footed movements and impressive, active hindleg. Under saddle he has a lot of balance, a fantastic self-carriage, go and an uncomplicated, willing character. He passed the KWPN performance exam with 83.5 points. In the report, the jury praised his willingness, for which McLaren received a 9. His uncomplicated character and willingness elicited McLaren's rider during the performance test, Astrid Reinders, the words: "An abnormally sweet stallion!" McLaren received an 8.5 for the walk and also for suppleness, posture and balance and for his talent as a dressage horse. The stallion scored an 8 for his trot and canter.
The KWPN performance report states: "McLaren is a sympathetic and elegant stallion, who is well concentrated on his rider with a very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work and has a great mindset. The walk is very active, pure and good scope and suppleness. The trot is light-footed, with good scope and suppleness. The canter has good scope, balance and suppleness. McLaren moves with a very expressive foreleg and a lot of freedom of shoulder. The stallion has a good posture and very good balance. McLaren has a lot of talent for dressage and gives his rider a very good feeling. "
Sire Morricone became Oldenburg's champion stallion in 2014 and dressage winner in his stallion test in 2015 and 2016. At just 7 years old, he was one of the highest placed finalists in the Nürnburger Burgpokal. On the dam's side, he ensures his excellent legacy with two Grand Prix stallions, Rubin Royal and De Niro.
McLaren’s dam, the State Premium and Elite mare Samanta, already produced the successful Inter I mare Fiolina and is the sister of the successful S dressage horses Sumpatico and Souverän’s Parade. Dam's sire Sir Donnerhall I, Hauptprämiensieger, Oldenburger National Champion, Bundeschampion and Vice World Champion, is one of the most sought after sires in Germany. With Akzent II, McLaren's pedigree is rounded off with another top progenitor, more than 50 of his offspring are successful up to and including Grand Prix dressage.
McLaren was bred by Ulf Toenjes from Ganderkesee (Germany). Dinja van Liere has taken on the training of McLaren.
