Ferguson x Oscar x Jazz

Breeding is all about the right match!

Talento's sire is none other than the high-profile stallion Ferguson (by Floriscount) who proves to be a supplier of PAVO Cup and World Championship horses.

Ferguson's mating with dam Covanta (by Oscar) is no surprise. She is the sister of the mare How Pretty Platinum (by Bretton Woods), who produced the very talented Ferguson offspring Lord Platinum. Lord Platinum and his rider Fransisco Benitez Sanchez achieved a fifth place at the World Championships for young dressage horses for five-year-olds and in the same year a third place at the PAVO Cup. This talented gelding has now been classified in the Small Tour and shows great talent for piaffe and passage.

Are you looking for a top talent, with whom you can score high in the dressage sport? Then take a quick look at Talento!

Mother is the Elite, Preferent, IBOP-dr, PROK mare Covanta (s. Oscar). She produced the Elite, D-OC, IBOP-dr., PROK mare Havanta (s. Fürst Romancier) and the Elite, IBOP-dr. D-OC mare Lavanta (by Guardian S). Her daughter Ovanta (s. For Ferrero) and the full sister of Savanta was provisionally declared Keur this year with a beautiful list of marks with 2 x 7.5 for Exterior and Posture and no less than 4 x 8 for Movement, Walk, Trot and Canter!

Grandmother is the Elite, Sport Dr. mare Tovanta (s. Jazz). She was entered in the sport at Z2 level. In addition to Covanta, she produced the provisional Keur mare How Pretty Platinum (by Bretton Woods). She is the dam of the very good performing Lord Platinum (s. Ferguson). In 2021 Lord Platinum took 3rd place in the final of the PAVO Cup for 5 year olds and achieved  a fifth place at the World Championships for Young Dressage horses in the same year.

Great-grandmother is the Ster, Preferent, Performance mare Ovanta (s. Houston). In addition to Tovanta, she also produced the ZZ-heavy horses Doavanta K (by Zenon) and Avanta (by Negro), the 2nd viewing stallion Kuypers PR (by Desperado) and the Small Tour horse Ventoux (by Future).

In the mare line we also find a variety of highly classified sport horses, including the Small Tour horse Imagine (s. Apache ), but also the Grand Prix show jumpers Javantus (s. Ahorn) - Gerco Schröder (NED) and Chinook (s. Verdi) - Greg Patrick Broderick (IRL) as well as the 160m. classified and KWPN approved stallion Renville (by Courville) - Bert Romp (NED).

Sire is the Oldenburg and KWPN approved stallion Ferguson (Floriscount x Lauris Crusador xx). As a three-year-old, Ferguson showed his great qualities by being approved with a total score of 85 points, including nines for his suppleness and self-carriage and balance. The high-quality dark chestnut stallion is also developing well in sport and is showing that he has talent for Grand Prix exercises.

With his first foal year, Ferguson already made an impression at the KWPN foal inspections and several offspring were able to take the lead in the young horse competitions. Today 3 of his sons have been approved by the various studbooks.

This year Ferguson's offspring dominated the PAVO cup. Four of the nine podium places were for his children. My Precious (ds. Vivaldi) took the gold in the four-year-old class, Lighting Star (ds. De Niro) the silver in the five-year-old class and Lord Platinum (ds. Bretton Woods) the bronze. The KWPN approved stallion Kyton (ds. Ferro) took home the silver in the 6-year-old class.

In 2023, Lightning Star and Kirsten Brouwer also made themselves heard o. They won the bronze medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses for seven-year-old dressage horses.

Ferguson's offspring are remarkably light-footed and move with a lot of flexibility.
